FAQ

All sales and special orders are final. Refunds, exchanges or store credit are not allowed after the beginning of business the day following your order.

After your dress is ordered, the manufacturer will provide the store with an estimated ship date. This is the approximate date the dress will ship from the manufacturer. Your consultant will call you or send you an email usually within one week of ordering giving you this ship date. Your dress should arrive in the store five to seven business days after the ship date.

Once your gown arrives at the store, we will carefully inspect the gown. You will then be called. If you are not available to answer the phone, we will leave a voicemail.

All orders must be paid in full before we can order your items.

We request that you come within 10 days of your gown’s arrival in the store to inspect and try-on. This is important since we only have a limited period of time to return your gown to the manufacturer should there be any manufacturing issues with the gown. You are welcome to come and try-on any weekday during regular business hours. We do not schedule any inspections, pick-ups or try-ons on Saturday for the safety of your gown.

We have limited space so we ask that you take your gown and any accessories with you after inspection and try-on.

Alterations are not included in the cost of the gown. The Something Blue Shoppe does not employ seamstresses. It is your responsibility to find your seamstress.

Once you've selected a seamstress, contact them to determine how far in advance they advise being pinned for alterations.

The seamstress who does your alterations should press your gown. If your seamstress does not offer pressing services, we will be happy to accommodate you, by appointment only.

We recommend that you order all accessories (veil, headpiece, jewelry, etc) at the same time as your gown. This ensures your entire ensemble is ready for alterations and portraits. If you choose to order at a later time, keep in mind that accessories can take 10 to 12 weeks to arrive. It is best to order all at the same time.

We do carry several lines of bridesmaids dresses which are Sorella Vita, Jasmine, Christina Wu and more. Bridesmaid dresses take between 16 and 20 weeks to arrive. The entire party will need to select a size and have paid in full before the order is placed. We do not order bridesmaid dresses one at a time. If you have any questions about measuring bridesmaids, please call the store to be connected to a bridesmaid consultant.

We have a wonderful selection of dresses for mothers, grandmothers and guests of the wedding. Special order is also available.

No, we will no longer be continuing or carrying tuxedo rentals or ordering as of (April 2022).

After you purchase your gown, you will receive an email with details on how to unlock your invitation discount.
